Delete Your Account
Last updated: May 4, 2026
FamilyArmor (operated by FamilyArmor LLC, Utah) lets you delete your account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains how. There is no charge, no waiting period, and no questions asked.
Option 1: Delete from inside the app (recommended)
iOS or Android
- Open the FamilyArmor app on your device
- Tap the Settings tab at the bottom
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Your account and all associated data are permanently removed within 30 days. Most data is removed immediately; some replicated copies (e.g., backups) are purged on a 30-day cycle.
Option 2: Email request
If you can't access the app
- Email privacy@getfamilyarmor.com
- Subject: Account deletion request
- Include the email address tied to your FamilyArmor account (the address from Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google)
- You will receive a confirmation within 7 days
- Deletion is processed within 30 days of confirmation
Parents and guardians
If you are a parent or guardian who originally provided consent for a child (ages 8–12) to use FamilyArmor, you can request deletion of your child's account by emailing privacy@getfamilyarmor.com from the same address used to provide consent. We will deactivate the child's account and remove their data within 30 days, in accordance with COPPA.
What gets deleted
- Your user profile (display name, age bracket, account creation date)
- Your authentication identifiers (Firebase user ID, linked Apple ID or Google ID)
- Your phone number, if you enrolled in SMS two-factor authentication
- Your family memberships and any pact answers, votes, or signatures you submitted
- Your duel history (challenges sent, accepted, scores)
- Your Daily Scenario decisions and Knox Points history
- Your Knox AI chat history
- Your push notification tokens (FCM)
- Your duel contacts list
- Any badges, quests, or skill-tree progress
What is retained
- Anonymized aggregate analytics — counters such as "total Knox Points awarded" or "total duels completed" remain in our analytics, but they are no longer linkable to you
- Subscription and billing records — if you were a Pro subscriber, the App Store or Google Play retains transaction records as required by tax and consumer-protection law (typically 7 years). FamilyArmor LLC does not access payment instrument details; only the platforms hold that data
- Server logs — short-lived operational logs (Firebase Cloud Functions logs, error reports) may contain your user ID for up to 30 days for security and abuse-prevention purposes, after which they are purged
Effect on family members
If you were the creator of a family group, deleting your account will not automatically delete other family members' accounts. Family creation will transfer to another adult member of the family, or, if you were the only adult, the family will be dissolved and the remaining minor accounts will be reverted to a "no family" state until a new parent or guardian creates a new family.
If you were a member (not the creator) of a family, deleting your account simply removes you from that family. The family and its other members are unaffected.
Other privacy rights
Account deletion is one of several rights you have. You may also:
- Request a copy of your personal information (data access)
- Correct inaccurate information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@getfamilyarmor.com. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
